AI Training and Enablement for Law Firm Marketing Teams
Your Marketing Team Is Using AI.
The Question Is Whether They’re Using It Well.
A structured AI training program built specifically for law firm marketing and BD teams, with measurable fluency benchmarks before and after.
The Problem Isn’t AI. It’s the Gap Between Experimenting and Executing
Your team has access to AI tools. Some of them are using ChatGPT, Claude or Copilot for first drafts. A few are experimenting on their own. But there’s no shared playbook, no quality standards, and no way to know whether AI is actually making your work better or just faster.
CORE ISSUE #1
No Consistency.
Everyone prompts differently. Output quality depends on who’s writing the prompt that week, not on a repeatable process.
CORE ISSUE #2
No guardrails.
Your team isn’t sure what’s safe to put into AI and what isn’t. Governance feels like a conversation no one has had yet.
CORE ISSUE #3
No measurement.
You can’t report on your team’s AI capabilities because you have no way to benchmark their progress.
These feel like AI problems, but they are actually training problems.

We’ve Trained Marketing Teams at AmLaw and Global Firms to Move Past Experimentation.
By Aries works exclusively with law firm marketing and BD teams. We built this program because we kept seeing the same pattern: smart teams with access to AI tools but no structured path from dabbling to fluency. The AI Enablement Program gives your team that path, with assessments, hands-on workshops, practical assignments, and a measurable fluency scale so you can see exactly where they started and how far they’ve come.
Jessica Aries, our founder and lead AI strategist and consultant, is a former privacy lawyer turned AI consultant. She’s a sitting LMA Board member and recognized speaker in the legal industry and at legal marketing conferences. Our AI clients include AmLaw firms and firms with international, national, and regional practices.
How It Works
Four phases. One clear outcome: a team that uses AI with skill, consistency, and confidence.
Assess
Every participant takes the AI Fluency Assessment before the program begins. This establishes their baseline across six core competency areas and tells us exactly where your team’s gaps are, so we design the workshops around what they actually need.
TRAIN
A series of 60-minute workshops covering prompt construction, tool selection, quality control, automation, and workflow design. Each session includes hands-on exercises using real legal marketing scenarios. Participants complete practical assignments after each workshop and attend office hours for individualized feedback.
BUILD
The program culminates in a 2-hour AI Innovation Lab where each participant designs an original AI workflow for their role and presents it to their peers. This is where concepts become capability.
MEASURE
Every participant retakes the AI Fluency Assessment at the end of the program. You get a clear, data-backed report showing where your team started, how far they moved, and where to focus next.
After the Program
Teams can expect four outcomes:
outcome #1
Your team writes better prompts and gets better output.
Not because they have better tools, but because they understand context-layering, audience targeting, and how to give AI what it needs to produce work you’d actually use.
outcome #2
You have a shared prompt library and documented workflows.
Institutional AI knowledge lives in the system, not in one person’s head. When someone is out, the quality doesn’t dip. And your team can support each other on a larger scale.
outcome #3
Governance is settled.
Your team knows what’s safe, what’s not, and which tools are appropriate for which types of information. No more guessing. See real infrastructure change in how your team uses AI.
OUTCOME #4
You have a shared prompt library and documented workflows.
Institutional AI knowledge lives in the system, not in one person’s head. When someone is out, the quality doesn’t dip.
This isn’t a workshop where people nod along and go back to doing things the old way. Participants earn a certificate, achieve a measurable fluency level, and leave with workflows they built themselves.
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU WAIT
Mistake #1
The gap widens without structured training.
Mistake #2
Risk accumulates without governance training.
Mistake #3
Competitors move first and you’re playing catch up from behind.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who is this program designed for?
Law firm marketing and business development teams with two or more members. We work with CMOs, marketing directors, BD managers, and their teams. The program is designed so that every skill taught is practical, safe, and immediately applicable to legal marketing work.
What makes this program different from a one-off AI workshop?
One-off workshops create awareness. This program creates capability. Participants are assessed before and after, complete assignments between sessions, attend office hours for feedback, and build original AI workflows they present to peers. The difference between a workshop and a program is the difference between hearing about AI and knowing how to use it.
How do you handle governance and compliance?
Governance is embedded throughout the program, not treated as a separate module. Participants learn to classify information before selecting a tool, understand the difference between enterprise and public AI platforms, and build habits around human review and quality control. The program is AI-agnostic and works regardless of which platform your firm uses.
What is the AI Proficiency Assessment?
A 20-question scenario-based assessment that measures applied AI knowledge across six competency areas: prompt construction, tool selection, appropriate use cases, quality control, automation, and workflow design. Participants take it before and after the program, giving you a measurable benchmark of progress.
What if my team is brand-new to AI?
The program is designed to meet teams where they are. The initial assessment identifies each person’s starting fluency level, and the curriculum builds from foundational concepts through advanced workflow design. Teams that start at Stage 1 or 2 on the fluency scale consistently move up at least one stage by the end of the program.
What if we’ve already started experimenting with AI?
Good. That means your team has context for what we’re teaching. The program will give them structure: replacing ad hoc experimentation with tested prompts, documented workflows, and quality standards that produce consistent results regardless of who’s doing the work.
How much time will this require from our team?
The core program consists of multiple 60-minute workshops with a 2-hour AI Innovation Lab at the close. Participants also complete practical assignments after each session and have access to office hours. Most participants spend 2 to 3 hours per week during the program.
Can we customize the program for our firm’s needs?
Yes. The initial assessment data tells us where your team’s specific gaps are, and we adjust the workshop emphasis accordingly. We also work with your firm’s actual tools and platforms so the training applies to how your team works, not a hypothetical setup.
Do participants earn a LinkedIn certification?
Yes. Participants who meet all program requirements earn a By Aries AI Fluency Certificate documenting their assessed fluency stage across six core competency areas. The certificate includes their pre- and post-program fluency levels.
What tools do participants need access to?
The team needs access to a business-level AI tool, such as ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, Perplexity, or Gemini.
How do you share results from the program with leadership?
The program lead will receive the results of the first and final assessments with an executive-level readout of how the team has progressed and where any gaps remain. This can be used to assess the team’s growth and expanded fluency from participating in the program.
How much does the program cost?
Pricing depends on team size and program scope. Book a call and we’ll walk through what fits.
What's the first step?
Book a 30-minute call. We’ll talk about your team’s current AI usage, what you’re trying to accomplish, and whether the program is the right fit. No pitch deck. Just a conversation.
What happens after the program ends?
Teams have the option to continue with ongoing AI consulting for workflow optimization, dashboard integration, and preparation for agentic AI systems.
